Processes are the genetic information that determines how an organization functions. They define how teams work together, how the organization cooperates with partners and suppliers, and how it delivers value to its customers. More and more companies are realizing that it is absolutely essential to automate their business-critical processes if they want to stay competitive, provide a better customer experience, streamline operations, and improve the bottom line. There is no way around digital transformation. Those who do not automate today may no longer be profitable tomorrow.

Knowledge is the new oil. For many years now, Semantic MediaWiki has been helping organizations worldwide to organize their knowledge and create added value from the combination of free text, media and structured data. Already in 2018, we presented a combination of BPMN editor and SMW with bidirectional integration at SMWCon: Semantic BPMN, so to speak.

This year we would like to present how processes can not only be documented but also executed in a workflow engine. Alongside this, process variables and metrics are played back into the wiki, providing a holistic view of executable processes.
