Bad Examples?[edit]
Both the examples in the last paragraph seem to lead to things that no longer exist or work properly. i.e. ow:Type:Time references a page that was deleted in 2006, and ow:Property:Age references that same type. I was looking for some clues as to how to set up my own type where the values could be specified in seconds, but I could have the output displayed in hours:minutes:seconds or whatever. I thought I'd struck gold when I spotted these examples, but apparently not, unless I'm missing something obvious?
Do these things still exist somewhere for me to learn from, or do I need to figure this one out for myself?

- Hy CiaranG, these are indeed bad exples since they got obsoleted with SMW 1.6.0 The query at semanticweb.org is even older and uses pre SWM 1.0 syntax. Setting up own datatypes is not longer possible. Instead datatype Quantity is used for custom properties. In your case datatype Date should do the trick. When using Extension "Page Forms" you should set the input type "datetime" to be able to enter fine grained time values. In case of questions please post to the Semantic MediaWiki mailing lists.
