problem with DISPLAYTITLE ?

It often happens that a thing can be referred to by different names, such as in the case of "[[Semantic MediaWiki]]", which is synonymous with "[[SMW]]". In MediaWiki, this is solved by ''redirects'' that forward readers from one page to another.

The first link to "Semantic MediaWiki" comes up empty - something to do with the fact that DISPLAYTITLE is used to remove the page title as a title header?

"Semantic MediaWiki" and "Main Page" are redirects and at the time the server was transferred something in the MW DB got in bad shape and is the reason for "Main Page"/"Semantic MediaWiki" not showing show up as expected (1, 2).

There is something going very wrong. I just updated another wiki from MW 1.23 to MW 1.25 and Main_Page is gone in the same manner. Since SMW was not updated at the same time it is probably safe to say that it is not the cause of the issue. Scary ...

Well, now we are cool again. I remember that Cindy and James worked on the DISPLAYTITLE behaviour for the upcoming SMW 2.4 release if I am not mistaken.
