Kallimachos is to set up the Würzburg Center for Digital Humanities. The new center with its special focus on OCR, digital edition, natural language processing, and text analytics will provide a technical and social infrastructure to support research in the humanities by offering a wide portfolio of digital services and by developing innovative tools, workflows, and digital methodologies for the entire process chain of text-oriented research. Six model projects from disciplines as diverse as papyrology, history, German, English, French, Latin and Ancient Greek philology, philosophy, and education illustrate the capability and usefulness of the project’s assets. Kallimachos is recipient of a grant from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research
