We're using Semantic Mediawiki to build an engineering design and development process library, using the Semantic properties and queries to build a virtual model of the process (e.g. inputs/outputs, hierarchy) with "supports" relationships from global and local resources (e.g. templates, checklists, work instructions, standards) that are discovered through the model.

Before Semantic Mediawiki, we had the "global process library" and several "local process libraries" managed in standalone, siloed PDF libraries, which did not effectively integrate. Now we have a unified process library with both local and global process resources accessible from the same global process model. Once we had the common framework, all the local materials just needed to "support" the appropriate part(s) of the process.
