SMW Homepage Open for Editing

December 29, 2009. As of today, the Semantic MediaWiki homepage is open for public contributions. Up to now, editing on the site had been restricted to a manually approved user group so as to prevent the problems in documentation maintenance that the project experienced with the former, publicly editable version of its documentation. In the new setup, editing and account creation is open to everybody, and only a small set of core documentation pages (especially the Help namespace) is restricted to a user group of contributors. Earlier contributors are already in this new group, while new users can ask for contributor permissions by sending an email to Markus Krötzsch.
