In this talk we present our research project SMW-CorA which is targeting researchers in the history of education and provides a virtual research environment to allow annotation and analysis of a large digitalized corpus of historical lexica. One result is the Extension "Semantic Image Annotator" extension which allows to annotate rectangular image sections semantically. Moreover we present three major problems/challenges that we encountered, namely:
- multilinguality of schemata and annotations,
- continuous adjustment of schemata and annotations,
- levels of visibility of content and controlled RDF export.
