HZDR has over 1200 employees and covers different topics from the areas of matter, energy and health. The experience of the challenge to find a tool which can and will be used by most research groups with these different requirements will be presented. How it is integrated into the IT infrastructure will the be focus of this talk. The motivation of the IT support is to provide a tool set to cover the functionality of individual and modular electronic lab documentation of experiment with good export integrations to create FAIR publications. A challenging and interesting future is expected due to several topics on the roadmap.
