Choosing a Parent Category for a Sub Category

From semantic-mediawiki.org

Hello folks, first off thank you for a wonderful software, the work you have put into this is incredible. I do not know if I am in the right location but I have a question about creating sub category. I am running Mediawiki 1.24.1, with the latest Semantic 2.1.1. I am creating "Classes" fine, but what I want to do is create separate sub categories outside of a "Create a Class". When I am in the "Create Category" page with the pull down menus for "Default form:" and "Make this a subcategory of another category (optional):" the forms menu displays the forms I created, but the Category pull down menu is empty. Even though I have categories in my wiki as created by "Create a Class". So I am unable to choose my parent category via the pull down menu. I have searched for this issue, and I have read your tutorial on creating a sub category, but nothing address's the use of the pull down menu option to choose a parent category. Any help is greatly appreciated.

SMW itself doesn't provide these listed functions (related to forms) therefore I assume you are referring to SF (Extension "Page Forms"). I would suggest you ask those questions on the appropriate forum so that a developer can hopefully give you a sufficient answer.

James, thank you for getting me pointed in the appropriate direction. It looks like the mailing list is a great place to locate common answers as well. Cheers MWJames! If you want to delete this entire discussion feel free to.
