The Open Science Lab (OSL) at TIB Hannover develops open source solutions for managing research data with the MediaWiki software suite. This presentation shows how Wikibase4Research has changed since last year, with a focus on our new features for setting up research databases. Wikibase4Research is a configurable Docker pipeline that sets up MediaWiki, SemanticMediaWiki, Wikibase, or SemanticWikibase with selected extensions. The system now includes an installer script that works with Docker Compose deployments using predefined presets to handle various configurations. The solution is currently being used in several research projects: Manor Houses of the Baltic Sea Region, Semantic Kompakkt, the Belgian Photography Museum (FOMU), Philosophy Database (PhiWiki), and other research databases. We'll demonstrate the installation process and share our current work on improving the extension installation process. This is a work in progress, and we'll be open about both what works well and what we're still developing. The talk will provide practical examples of using these tools for research data management with MediaWiki technologies.
